Airline connections, summer season 2019

Ibiza is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world. People from all over the world flock to the island during the warm summer season to enjoy the beaches, local cuisine and its unique places to stay, not to mention the entertainments on offer.

People from all over the world flock to the island during the warm summer season to enjoy the beaches, local cuisine and its unique places to stay, not to mention the entertainments on offer. Added to all these attractions, is the freedom and the ease with which you can reach this fabulous part of the Mediterranean thanks to the different airlines with links to dozens of capital cities providing direct flights to the island daily.

In Spain, there are national flights mainly from Barcelona and Madrid, connecting daily with Ibiza, but there are also flights from Valencia, Alicante, Seville, Bilbao, Santander, León, Vigo and Málaga, from where this beautiful destination can be reached in under an hour. There are also daily flights to Majorca, and Formentera is linked by sea, with ferries sailing every 15 minutes between the Pitiusa islands.

Beyond our borders, Ibiza has numerous direct flights daily to Paris, Nice and Marseille in France and to Düsseldorf and Cologne in Germany, there are also flights to Rome, Bologna, Milan, Naples and Pisa in Italy; and to Zurich Switzerland, and Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven in the Netherlands; also to London, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle and Leeds in the United Kingdom; Belfast in Northern Ireland; Brussels Antwerp and Ostend in Belgium and also Luxembourg.

There are also flights at least two or three times a week to cities such as Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Hanover in Germany, Dublin in Ireland; Moscow in Russia; Toulouse, Lyon and Nantes in France, Geneva in Switzerland and to Liverpool and Cardiff in the UK, as well as Venice and Turin in Italy and Budapest, Hungary .

Further flights are available to the white islands at least once a week from Montpellier, France, and Norwich, Doncaster, Bournemouth and Exeter in the United Kingdom; Shannon in Ireland; Genoa, Italy and Athens, Greece, while cities such as Helsinki, Oslo and Copenhagen have direct flights once a month.

These national and international flights are busy all summer and their numbers have risen in the last decade, particularly during the winter season as the Consell d’Eivissa has been promoting tourism from October to May to show that the island has more attractions on offer beyond the summer season.
