New promises, established designers and ecological creators based in Ibiza exhibited their trends for next season.
The 48th Ibiza fashion festival broke all previous records, with more than 4,000 people attending the parades held at the Ibiza Exhibition Centre Recinto Ferial from 2 to 5 May. More than 30 designers presented their new creations, demonstrating that this brand protected by the Consell d´Eivissa goes far beyond the colour white, in different fashion shows such as Futur Adlib, with the collections of new fashion talents, Pasarela Adlib, where the more well-established and avant-garde designers exhibited their creations, and Natural Adlib, with creators more committed to the environment and craftsmanship.
The Adlib catwalk was attended by such important personalities as the cast of actors from the Goya award-winning film, Champions, comprising Gloria Ramos, Stefan López, Sergio Olmo, José de Luna, Alberto Nieto, Jesús Lago, Roberto Sánchez, Julio Fernández and Francisco Fuentes. The actresses Macarena Gómez, Maggie Civantos, Ana Obregón and Alejandra Onieva, the stylist and influencer Paula Loves and the Harper’s Bazaar stylist, Josie, among others, also attended different parades. Models of the stature of Godeliv van den Brandt, Lucía Rivera, Begoña Martín, Mireia Canalda, Ana Vide, Krys Pasiecznik and Felipe López triumphed on the catwalk, animating an authentic fashion festival in the purest island style.
Ibiza’s Natalia Martínez Nieto was the winner of Futur Adlib, which opened the Adlib Moda Ibiza festival with the new generations of creators. Six finalists took part in this first day of parades in addition to the winners of past editions, Patricia Richtsteiger, Rebeca Ramis and Alfonso Molina, along with students from the art school Escola d´Arts d´Eivissa. The event featured a distinguished presenter, the actor Txabi Franquesa, as well as a panel of judges chaired by María Escoté with the support of designers such as Luis Ferrer, Melania Piris and Tony Bonet, the director of Fashion TV in Spain and Portugal, Paulo Ribeiro, and the representative of the Industry Section of the Consell d´Eivissa, Rebeca Miguel.
On Friday and Saturday the Pasarela Adlib took place, presented by the actress and journalist Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, with the participation on the first day of firms such as World Family Ibiza, Linnea Ibiza, Beatrice San Francisco & BSF Man, Evitaloquepuedas, Elin Ritter, Ibiza Stones, Marisa Cela and Ichiana Ibiza, as well as the designers invited by the Consell d´Eivissa, Félix Ramiro and Majoral. The second day of parades was the turn of the more well-established and pure-style creators such as Virginia Vald, Tony Bonet, Ibimoda Ibiza, Piluca Bayarri, the Mallorcan jewellery designer Isabel Guarch, as guest, Espardenyes Torres, Dolors Miró Senallons, S72 Hat, Ivanna Mestres, Elisa Pomar and Vintage Ibiza.
