For regular visitors to the island of Ibiza, as well as its residents, autumn is the best time of year to discover all its hidden corners witout the hustle and bustle of the summer season. With its mild temperatures and less crowded conditions, you can enjoy the island while savouring its delicious Mediterranean food or watching the sunset from places such as Platges de Comte with no other sounds than those of nature.
The warmest days of autumn are therefore a great option for getting to know the most popular summer beaches in a more peaceful way, such as Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta, Benirràs or Port de Sant Miquel, from where you can visit the Covas de Can Marçà.
Other options for this period are to walk through the island’s countryside or visit its inland villages to learn about the tradition and culture of the island. Places like Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera or Sant Carles de Peralta still offer a lively cultural life and their buildings and streets maintain the authentic essence of the Ibiza. The most famous viewpoints, such as Cala d’Hort or Dalt Vila are as beautiful as ever, but easier to access.
Dining is another way of discovering the island’s culture: through its gastronomic festivals, such as #IbizaSabor, held in many of its restaurants, it is possible to savour its traditional dishes. Autumn is time for pebrassos (saffron milk-cap mushrooms), squid and many other delicacies that can be tasted in the island’s kitchens.
Autumn is a time to continue getting to know the island of Ibiza and all its treasures with the advantage of doing so in a more peaceful atmosphere.
