The Department for Tourism Promotion of Ibiza has established the new action plan for 2025 and has allocated extra budget to the projects listed in the Strategic Mar-keting Plan for Ibiza. The amounts are added to the yearly budget devoted to con-ventional tourism promotion.
Some of the most remarkable strategic goals included in the Promotion Action Plan for 2025 are the creation of a new 360 digital environment, the development of the Ibiza Family Moments holiday club, repositioning Ibiza as a holiday destination and renewing the database of tourism promotion pictures.
New 360 digital environment
Aiming to improve communications between the B2C and B2B audience, Ibiza Travel’s digital environment will developed professionally in 2025. This will include a new destination management system to foster and consolidate the participation of agents from the tourism value chain in managing the promotion of the island’s attractions. This important action comes with another two relevant strategic actions: developing a new, dynamic and modern tourism website adapted to different audiences and technologies and the professional development of Ibiza Travel’s social profile management, largely aimed at diversifying markets and segments through advertising campaigns and other digital marketing actions.
Development of the Ibiza Family Moments brand
Fomento del Turismo de Ibiza, the successful bidder of the technical bureau to manage the brand, is already working on creating this new product club aimed at the family segment. Over the first phase, it will prepare a report on the current situation, detail the membership requirements for the different types of members, develop a communications plan, design a new website for family holidays and film a promotional video to launch the product.
New strategy and repositioning of Ibiza as a holiday destination
The Consell Insular and FECOEV M.P. S.A.U. will start a process to reposition Ibiza as a holiday destination through: the citizen participation programme called PIAT (Intervention Plan for Tourism Affairs), the creation of a strategy for tourism development and management; and a new brand and sub-brand architecture for holiday products that will bring back the balance between products, markets and holiday segments on the island.
Renewal of Ibiza Travel’s picture database
After a long period of inactivity, the picture database of the Department for Tourism Promotion of Ibiza will be fully updated to have new appealing pictures to be used on the Ibiza.travel website and its social media, newsletters, blog and technical bureaus (Ibiza Film Commission and Ibiza Family Moments), as well as for the press.
