Ibiza is much more than a holiday destination with paradisiacal beaches and a superb climate.
It is one of the main locations chosen by people from all over Europe to enjoy a few days off, and an island which, in 2019, aims to maintain the record occupancy figures of the last two years, not only in summer, but also during the off-season period. To this end, at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, Fitur 2019, the Consell d´Eivissa has presented its calendar of events for the coming months, which includes a wide variety of culinary, cultural, heritage, artistic and musical events, to be held in its five municipalities. These events are open to the public and could be seen thanks to the presentation of a new promotional video and an activity with interactive glasses that immersed participants in the urban art of the Ibiza Bloop Festival.
As part of this presentation, the president of the Consell d´Eivissa, Vicent Torres, stated that “Ibiza is history, culture, tradition and also avant-garde and contemporary art”, stressing that, “throughout the year you can enjoy a wide range of activities, events, fairs and cultural visits that will not disappoint you”.
Meanwhile, the island’s director of Tourism, Vicente Torres, added that “our aim is to show the country’s major tourist operators, who meet at this fair, our proposals for 2019, with which we intend to be leaders in tourism products such as cuisine, nature, scenery, culture, wellness tourism and, for the first time, wedding tourism”.
